Welcome to the Port of Lake Charles.

You’ll find that the Port of Lake Charles is an action port—in more ways than one.

The Port is active every day, moving cargo in and out. It’s ranked the 11th-busiest port in the U.S.—and recent developments point to it becoming even busier in the months and years to come.

• The Port is active—I should say proactive—in soliciting new customers and new cargo. We work hard to make sure our facilities and our services make economic sense for companies wanting to move cargo through an efficient transportation hub on the U.S. Gulf Coast.

The Port is active in seeking tenant partners to take advantage of several prime maritime and industrial sites. Many companies see value in locating their operations at the Port of Lake Charles, where there is a thriving synergy of industries along the Calcasieu Ship Channel.

The Port is active in and for its community—Lake Charles and the Southwest Louisiana region. This activity is not just economic—though that’s a big part. The Port, its commissioners and its employees contribute significantly to the life of the community, continuing to make the area a great place to live.

I invite you to learn more about the Port of Lake Charles. If you find that we might fill some of your needs, call us—I guarantee we’ll work actively to make it happen.
